Introductory Training:
FCP 101 - An Introduction to Final Cut Pro 7
This three-day hands-on course starts with getting you familiar with the Final Cut Pro interface and basic video editing techniques before progressing on through the software's advanced features. Learn how to mark and edit clips efficiently, to capture and transfer video from tape and tapeless sources, edit multicam footage, mix sound, add titles, and apply transitions and filters professionally. Motion 101 - An Introduction to Motion 4
This three-day hands-on course will familiarize students with Apple’s revolutionary software for motion graphics design. The course comprehensively covers working with Motion’s real-time design engine and interface including behavior-based animation, keyframing, blend modes, particle system design, advanced title animation, templates, chroma keying, masking methods, working with audio, advanced 3D toolset and integration across the entire Final Cut Studio suite. Perfect for those looking to learn more about creating professional motion graphics and visual effects for video.
Sound 101 - An Introduction to Sound Editing in Final Cut Studio
Perfect for the video editor looking to get more involved in the audio post-production process, this two-day class guides you through practical and professional techniques for working with audio in Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack Pro. Learn how to edit and mix multitrack audio, repair common problems such as clicks, pops, hum and background noise, and incorporate Soundtrack Pro's vast library of royalty-free loops, music beds and sound effects into your own projects. Along the way we will also discover Soundtrack Pro's unique audio editing tools, including the Frequency Spectrum View and Multitake Editor.
DVDSP 101 - An Introduction to DVD Studio Pro 4
This three-day hands-on course delves into the world of DVD authoring using DVD Studio Pro, guiding students through every aspect of DVD authoring, from initial storyboarding to burning and replication. Using compelling media and a real-world production workflow, students will learn how to create MPEG 2 video with Compressor as well as how create eye catching motion menus directly in DVD Studio Pro. Students will also author a DVD by creating buttons, interactive links, slideshows, playlists and even adding alternate audio stream and camera angles.
Advanced Training:
FCP 300 - Final Cut Pro 7 Advanced Editing
This three-day “Beyond the Basics” course delivers hard-to-find advanced editing and finishing techniques. Learn how to create polished transitions, fix screen direction errors, edit multi-camera projects, work with nested sequences, create sophisticated effects, use filters creatively, colour-correct your video, and composite like a pro. This course also covers Soundtrack Pro, managing clips and media, and working with film.
FCS 101 - Motion Graphics and Effects in Final Cut Studio
This three day hands-on course familiarises students with real-world effects techniques that editors and designers use to create motion graphics. Working with Final Cut Pro, LiveType and Motion, we’ll build creative titles, motion menus, show bumpers and news opens as we explore everything from using filters, composite modes and keyframing, to 3D set creation and camera animation.
Color 101 - An Introduction to Colour Correction in Final Cut Studio
This two days hands-on course will help familiarise you with the colour correction capabilities of Final Cut Studio. From understanding the basics of colour balancing and correction in Final Cut Pro, we move quickly through to the fine points of secondary corrections and scene matching. We then utilise the toolset available in Color to create complex grades, create and track vignettes and "Power Windows", explore advanced colour effects and "looks", adjust skin tones, modify the composition and framing of a shot and much more...
